28th July

Rachael attended the Wessex Summer School - if you would like to attend next year go to the Links section for further information.

11th May

Rachael did some pit work for a local theater school for their matinee and evening performance.  Playing popular charts and arranging them for the band - playing alto sax and flute.

May 2008

Recording a demo with The Texas Chainsaw Orchestra. 

31st December 2007

Rachael appeared at 'The Hidden Julep' on New Years Eve - she played alongside two DJ's - they covered all sorts of music - from Old Skool R&B to a bit of house.

Winter 2007

Rachael appeared with DJ Valroy at 'The Hidden Julep' - they played old skool R&B and early garage tracks. 

Autumn 2007

Rachael accompanied students for classical and jazz woodwind exams this term - good luck to those awaiting results!

9th September

Rachael appeared with Helen Sanderson-White on the BBC Three Counties Radio Station

Summer 2007

Rachael accompanied students on woodwind, brass and string instruments for grades I - IV of ABRSM examinations.  Good luck to all those waiting results!

 13th May

Rachael appeared as part of the Festival Chorus for the premier recording of and arrangement of 'The Armed Man' by Karl Jenkins.  Due to be released in October 2007.

7th March

Rachael did some session work for Sister Company - tracks to be released later in 2007.

28th February

Rachael recorded a lead saxophone line to add to a pop track written by Skanf Pil. The track is currently available to be heard through her myspace page: www.myspace.com/rachaelforsyth

Saturday -3rd February 2007

Rachael appeared at Helen Sanderson-white's album launch concert for her second album 'Fallen but Not Fatal'.  She appeared with Liz Mitchell and they performed new tracks from Helens album, as well as performing duets as an opening act.

Tuesday - 28th November 2006

Rachael was asked to attend for a recording session to create a demo for an up-and-coming functions band.  Rachael played the sax on this recording sample.

Wednesday - 22nd November 2006

Rachael took part in a workshop at a local Primary School to help illustrate the sounds that can be gained from different woodwind instruments and also encouraged students to take up a musical instrument.

Saturday - 12th August 2006

Rachael spent time recording saxophone parts for Helen Sanderson-White's latest album 'Fallen But Not Fatal'.

Friday - 18th of November 2005

Rachael spent time in a recording studio on this date singing as part of a choir. The song will be released at the end of January and will able to be downloaded in order to raise money for the victims of the London Bombings. www.spiritoflondon.co.uk

November 2005 - January 2006

Rachael appeared with another soul band - OTB Soul - who played many successful gigs around South of England and London. She was able to play a professional venue after only one rehearsal with the band.

March 2005 - October 2005

Rachael appeared with Soul Jam at gigs around South London (both public and private) as well as the South of England. The band allowed her to develop her skills of arranging and the organisation of music.

June 2005

Rachael graduated from university in the summer after 3 hard years of studying for a BA in music. As part of her degree she regularly performed as a solosist as well as working in a big band and taking part in a saxophone quartet. She also had the opportunity to perform with the Trelawn String Quartet as a quintet.

Saturday - 9th of April 2005

Performed in the presence of the composer himself - Karl Jenkins - in an arrangment of his work 'The Armed Man - A Mass for Peace'. Prior to this Rachael conducted and rehearsed the choir through the rehearsals in preparation for this concert.

September - June 2005

Rachael studied orchestral conducting at Morley College. Here she conducted a resident orchestra as well as playing in the orchestra itself on flute.

5th December 2004

Conducted the Southwark Cosort of Winds through an informal concert at the Horniman Museum.

May 2001

Toured with Joseph Rowntree School Swing Band around venues, including Eurodisney, in France.
